ABOUT THE ARTIST Sharon Ziegenhagen is a member of the National Wood Carvers Association and the National Dog Museum Artists' Registry. She has won many awards including several "Best of Shows" for both her wood carvings & bronze sculptures. Her work is now displayed in private collections both nationally & internationally. Sharon specializes in sculpting purebred dogs, horses, and wildlife. Her work has been selected for numerous shows including The Wichita Art Show at the Dog Show; The Contemporary Canine Exhibition at the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, Missouri; the Harness Tracks of America auction in Lexington, Kentucky; and the New York Dog Fanciers Club Dog Art Competition. In the past, she has been invited to display her sculptures at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City during the annual Westminster Dog Show.

Sharon has always had a dog in her life. As a child, her constant companion was Tom, a wonderful sable Collie. Over the years she has shared her home with an Australian Terrier, American Cockers, Scottish Terriers, & Pugs. Today, along with Jeff her husband of over 50 years, Sharon lives in the mountains of Northwest Montana with their two little Pug boys, Jax & Zeb.

Sharon is also an avid wildlife photographer. She and Jeff almost daily hike, ski, or snowshoe through the woods near their home at the foot of Mt. Ksanka viewing and photographing the abundant wildlife there.
